Norman Rose, 73, of Simms Lane, Springfield, passed away at 3:40 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2014, at the Life Care Center in Bardstown.
A native of Estill County, Ky., he was born on Dec. 23, 1940, to the late Owen and Modena Hymer Rose.
He was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynda Rose Clark (Robert) of Ohio, two sisters; Christine Tabler (Russell) of Hillview and Jeanie Tingle (Louis) of Louisville; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his longtime friend and caregiver, Janice Stine of Springfield.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 9 at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Cal Adams, pastor of the Temple Baptist Church, officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were, Kenny Sumner, Robert Clark, Michael White, Larry Settles, Perry Sallee and Doug Gabhart.
Burial was in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.
Carey and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
