Alex Simms, 74, of Princeton, Kentucky, passed on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at West Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson.
He was the previous owner of Burger Queen and Save-A-Lot, among others, in Princeton and member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Springfield. Alex served as a military policeman in the Army.
Alex is survived by his wife of 20 years, Vicki Hudson Simms; two sons, Jeff Simms and wife, Amy, and John Y. Simms, both of Princeton; one sister, Madeleine Grayson and husband, Wendell, of Springfield; two brothers, Phil Simms and wife, Debbie, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Sandy Simms of Springfield and one granddaughter, Ellie Bly Simms.
His parents, Leon Francis and Delena Barber Simms; stepson, Andrew Young; two sisters, Flo Cambron and Gail Ogburn and one brother, John Barber Simms, preceded him in death.
Memorial visitation was held Saturday, Sept. 22, at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton. Memorial service followed at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Boone officiating.
