'Dickie' Andrew DeLayne Cornish, age 69, of Springfield, passed away at 9:35 p.m., Sunday, Apr. 7, 2013 at the Life Care Center in Bardstown.
A native of Washington County, he was born on Nov. 30, 1943 to the late Charles R. and Frances Pauline Stine Cornish.
He was a member of the Willisburg Baptist Church, a 1962 graduate of Willisburg High School and a former truck driver for Evan Williams of Bardstown.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Cornish on Sept. 11, 2008; and a sister, Carol Lewis on May 29, 2010.
Survivors include two daughters, Angie Cornish and Dianne Thompkins (Michael) of Kansas City, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Cindy Bartley (Tommy) and Angie Wilkerson (Roger), both of Springfield; four grandchildren, Rachel, Olivia, Hallie and Andrew; two brothers, Eddie Cornish (Pat) of Mackville and Larry Cornish (Mary Jane) of Louisville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Apr. 11 at Carey & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Bobby Chesser, officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kelly Cornish, Marty Cornish, Donovan Cornish, Jason Cornish, Tommy Bartley and Roger Wilkerson.
Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements where visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
