Annie Elizabeth "Anne Libby" Dean Railey, age 77, of Springfield, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, at the Norton Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.
Anne Libby was a lifelong resident of Springfield, born on Jan. 23, 1940 to the late Joseph Hurrigan and Catherine Dean.
She cherished every moment spent with her family and friends and will be dearly missed for her sincere love of laughter and joy to make people smile.
She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Preceding her in death was a daughter, Susan Patricia Railey; her ex-spouse, Leonard Arthur Railey and two brothers, Roger Dean Williams and Edward Anthony Williams.
She is survived by her seven children; Michael Lee Dean (Mary) of Louisville, Carla Lynne Dean of Frankfort, James David Railey (Sylvia) of Louisville, Joseph Daniel Railey (Marcello) of Chicago, Stephen Patrick Railey (Tanja) of Danville, Cecilia Catherine Railey of Louisville and Mary Paul Soileau of Springfield; fourteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two brothers, William Beaumont of Louisville and Charles Mack Williams of Florida and two sisters, Willie Mae Roy and Kathleen Casesar both of San Diego, CA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 14th at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. Kevin McGrath, officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Chris Railey, Byron Railey, Cole Railey, Desean Dean, Brandon Dean, David Cochran, Michael Dean, Jr. and Michael Hamilton.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Dean, Sr., James D. Railey, Joseph D. Railey, Stephen P. Railey, Cecil Railey and Michael Cooper.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to, The , Inc. or Hosparus Health of Louisville.
Visitation will be from 3 until 8 Friday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
