Austin Thomas Green, 49, of Holy Cross, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 at his residence.
He was born March 28, 1965 in Marion County. He was a Farmer and employee of Tower Automotive in Bardstown and a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Dixie Green; his parents, Tommy and Ginger Ford Green of Holy Cross; two children, Mark Cecil (Tracey) of Boston and Jessica Clark (Russ) of New Haven.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Loretto with The Rev. Bill Bowling officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery where the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites.
Pallbearers were his brothers and Chris Fetner, Jacob Green, Jared Green and Robbie Edelen.
Honorary Pallbearers were his nephews, Cody Green, Dominic Green, Kyle Raley, Dylan Raley, Lucas Raley, Ryan Durbin and Weston Green.
Mattingly Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
