Bertha Chesser Prather, 85, of Polin Road, Willisburg, passed away at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at the Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
A native of Washington County, she was born on Jan. 11, 1932, to the late Ed R. and Flora Ann Chesser.
She was a member of the Willisburg of God of Prophecy and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death were four sisters, Ethel Chesser on May 11, 2000; Myrtle Chesser on Jan. 25, 1996; Lizzie Burkhead on Sept. 28, 1998 and Sarah Thompson on Dec. 25, 2010 and six brothers, Olson Chesser on Nov. 27, 1928; Robert Lee Chesser on Dec. 6, 1995; Hollie Chesser on Dec. 11, 1989; Colie Chesser on Dec. 16, 1994; Harvey Chesser on Dec. 27, 2000 and Elmo Chesser on March 16, 2015.
Survivors include her son, David Prather and his wife, Vicky and a grandson, Daniel Elmo Prather all of Willisburg.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Creech, officiating. Rev. Earl Hazel will assist him.
Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Lonnie Thompson, Jim Wyland, John Phillips, David Hardin, Allan Irizarry and Brad Welch.
