Bertna Riley Coulter, 98, of Main Street, Willisburg, passed away at 10:05 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at Windsor Gardens in Bardstown.
A native of Washington County, she was born on July 5, 1919, to the late Everett and Evie Durr Riley.
She was a member of the Willisburg Christian Church, a homemaker, a former employee of the gift shop at Lincoln Homestead State Park and worked in the toll plaza on the Bluegrass Parkway.
Preceding her in death was her husband. H.T. Coulter on Feb, 1, 1991; a daughter, Arlene Hale on July 6, 2016; and two sons, Bobby Coulter on July 20, 2001, and Jerry Coulter on June 26, 2003.
Survivors include three granddaughters, Jennifer Pray (Jeff) of Atlanta, Georgia, Kasey Smith (Lee) of Springfield and Mia Nellums (Mark) of Shepherdsville; four grandsons, Troy Coulter (Stephanie), Steve Coulter (Kathy), Mike Coulter (Dana) and Terry Coulter all of Louisville; 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Willisburg Christian Church with Bro. Lance Ladd, the church minister, officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers will be Lee Smith, Mark Nellums, Terry Coulter, Nathan Coulter, Jeff Pray, Kurtis Coulter and Jamie Coulter.
