Betty Thompson Cheatham, 80, of Mt. Washington, passed away at 7:44 p.m., Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at the Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Washington County, she was born on March 13, 1937, to the late Amos and Auda Coulter Thompson.
She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church at Tatham Springs and was a homemaker.
Preceding her in death were two sisters, Evelyn Cheser on Sept. 18, 2008, and Louise Hood on April 16, 2015, and two brothers, Elmo Thompson on Feb. 21, 2011, and Wilmo Thompson on March 16, 1985.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby H. Cheatham; four sisters, Juanita Thompson and Marie Lewis (Charles) of Springfield, Blondella Lewis of Bloomfield and Faye Matherly Watts of Cold Springs and two brothers, Billy Thompson (Myrna) of Springfield and Glen Thompson of Willisburg.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 15, at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Morrow, pastor of the Riverview Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers were Mike Lewis, James Cheatham, Fred Witham, Ronald Lewis, Wayne Lewis and Lonnie Thompson.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
