Beuna Carney Logsdon, age 87, of Garden Court, Springfield, passed away at 10:20 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014 at the Springfield Nursing & Rehab Center.

A native of Washington County, she was born on Oct. 28, 1926 to the late Purdom and Birdie Peavler Carney. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church, a 1946 graduate of Willisburg High School, a former employee of C & L Florist, Springfield Locker Plant and Cowden's Manufacturing all former businesses of Springfield.
Preceding her in death were two sisters, Edith Wilkerson on Jan. 27, 2008 and Corine Walker on July 20, 2011 and two brothers, Vaughn Carney on Jan. 13, 2007 and C.H. Carney on July 25, 2012.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Lillian Carney of Springfield; a niece, Cathy Burns (Randy) of Springfield and five nephews, Larry Carney (Carol) of Springfield, Gary Wilkerson (Liz) of Chattanooga, Tenn, Roger Wilkerson (Angie) of Springfield, Troy Wilkerson (Susie) of Hebron and David Wilkerson (Donna) of Berea.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Cal Adams, pastor of the Temple Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Roger Wilkerson, Troy Wilkerson, David Wilkerson, Bradley Wilkerson, Jason Wilkerson and Daniel Wilkerson.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
