Beverly Brown "Bev" Leachman, 60, formerly of Springfield, passed away at 8:14 a.m., Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown
He was born in Lebanon, Kentucky, on Oct. 16, 1957, to the late Louis Hays and Helen Joyce Moore Leachman.
Since 1999 Bev had resided at The Colonial House in Shepherdsville and attended the Belmont Baptist Church. Bev enjoyed the grocery business and being an employee of the former Wards IGA in Springfield and Higdon's Foodland in Lebanon, where he made many friends. He was a 1977 graduate of Washington County High School.
Survivors include his sister, Luanne Spalding and her husband, Gary of Lebanon and three nieces, Suzanne Spalding of Yakima, Washington; Shelley Spalding and Sarah Spalding both of Bowling Green.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 29, at Belmont Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Tipton, the church pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Springfield with Rev. Tobe Yankey conducting the graveside service.
Serving as pallbearers were Gary Spalding, Glenn Spalding, John Walker, Wayne Benge, Steve Taylor and Mike Lindsey.
