Cynthia Ann Wright Churchill, 53, of Lexington and formerly of Springfield, departed this life on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013 at 8:06 a.m. at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington after battling multiple myeloma for nearly three years.

She was born Nov. 17, 1959 in Lebanon, Ky. to the late George Robert Wright (Dec. 27, 1984) and Mary Elizabeth Montgomery Wright (April 5, 1983). She was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Andrew Wright (Nov. 17, 1995) and Owen Douglas Wright (Oct. 6, 2001).
After graduating from Washington County High School in 1978, she attended St. Catharine College until 1980 and Eastern Kentucky University until 1982. She was the office manager at W.R. Ramsey and Associates for 10 years and was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Lexington for over 20 years.
She is survived by her soul mate and loving husband of 25 years, John "Tommy" Churchill; daughter, Vanessa Churchill; son, Thomas Churchill; grandson, Jackson Churchill, all of Lexington. Three sisters: Catherine Lydian (Mike) of Bardstown; Phyllis Young (Joseph) of Georgetown and Jennifer Williamson of Louisville.; and nine brothers: George William (Frances) and Larry Wright both of Springfield; Patrick (Toya), Raymond, Michael and Joseph (Marge) Wright, all of Lexington; Terry (Ann) and Dixie Wright of Louisville and Howard (Kenya) Wright of Bardstown.
Funeral mass was conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. Norman Fischer and Deacon Gus Cooper officiating with cremation following the services.
Pallbearers were Nathan, Chris and Noah Wright, Quentin Young, Steven Mudd and Charles Lydian. Honorary pallbearers were Terry, Tim and Jimmy Churchill.
Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
