Grace Catherine Lewis Haydon, 97, of Willisburg, passed away at 8:10 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at the home of her daughter.
A native of Washington County, she was born on Sept. 21, 1920, to the late Henry Arthur and Eliza Coulter Lewis.
She was a member of Anchor of Hope Church, a homemaker and a former employee of Modine Manufacturing of Harrodsburg and Cowden Manufacturing Company of Springfield.
Preceding her in death was her husband, James Haydon on Jan. 1, 1996; nine sisters, Lena Byrd, Ruby F. Goff, Marilyn Goff, Martha Jewell Weatherly, Effie Beavers, Vernie Haydon, Flora Haydon, Maxine Gammon and Pauline Lewis and five brothers, Henry Roland, Hartford, Cleo, Ezra and Owen Lewis.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Harmon (Charles) of Springfield; a son, David Haydon (Marquita) of Louisville; two nephews she raised, Terry Lewis (Cindy) of Willisburg and Billy Lewis (Judy) of Louisville; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandsons.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m., Saturday, March 31, at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Cheatham, pastor of Anchor of Hope Church, officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers were Todd Harmon, Tommy Clark, Dallas Lewis, Will Drury, Chase Drury and Blake Yates.
