Ike Thurman Barber, 83, of Louisville, died on Dec. 15, 2012 in Miami, Fla. after a lengthy battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
He is survived by his wife, Marianna; six children, Richard Barber (Liz) of Sarasota, Fla., Jane Richardson of Louisville, Roddy Barber (Cyndee) of Hickory, N. C., Sam Barber (Christy) of Kansas City, Mo., Michael Barber (Patty) of Charlotte, N.C. and Rebecca Brown (Owen) of Miami, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Louisville with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or charity of donor s choice.
Pearson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (

While this is a difficult time, please know that as a foundation we can offer support and information to your family as you move forward.
