Imogene Taylor Abner, 71, of Little Davis Lane in Springfield, passed away at 4:50 a.m., Monday, July 23, 2018, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Hazard, Kentucky, she was born on Feb. 3, 1947, to the late Amos and Myrtle Slone Taylor.
She was a member of the New Beginnings Community Church and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Beulah Mae Taylor, and three brothers, Sam Taylor, Charles Taylor and Amos Taylor Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Abner; a son, Thomas Abner of Springfield; two daughters, Michelle Parrott of Willisburg and Alberta Abner of Jefferson City, Tennessee; three brothers, Ollis Glen Taylor (Nancy) of Hazard, Wendell Taylor of Hazard and James Taylor of Radcliff and five sisters, Marlene Biggers of Indianapolis, Charlene Taylor and Madene Hamilton (Charles) of Hazard, Donna Taylor of Michigan and Linda Grigsby of Danville.
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 26, at the Abner Family Cemetery with Rev. Stacy Wilson, pastor of the New Beginnings Community Church, officiating.
Burial was in the Abner Family Cemetery on Little Davis Lane in Washington County.
