James T. Cammack (1932 - 2017)

James T. Cammack, 84, of Willisburg, passed away at 2:34 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
A native of Anderson County, he was born on Nov. 4, 1932, to the late James D. and Delta Drury Cammack.
He was a member of the Rockbridge Baptist Church, a former employee of the General Electric Company and a farmer.
Preceding him in death were two sisters, Jean Oldham on Feb, 19, 2007 and Elsie Coulter on Oct, 27, 2014.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Curtsinger Cammack; a daughter, Sandy Akins (Ernie) of Willisburg; a step-daughter, Betsy Randolph (Paul) of Willisburg; a step-son, Junior Taylor (Christine) of Berea; a grandson, Ernie "Sticktight" Akins; two step-grandsons; two step-granddaughters; five step great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Turner of Harrodsburg and two brothers, Jessie Cammack of Louisville and Coy Cammack of Harrodsburg.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Terry McIlvoy, pastor of the Rockbridge Baptist Church, officiating. He was assisted by Bro. Lance Ladd, minister of the Willisburg Christian Church.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers were Ernie Akins, Chan Taylor, Todd Taylor, Tige Akins, Donnie Settles and Gary Settles.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
