John A. Switser, 64, of O'Daniel Lane in Lebanon, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018, at Green River Lake in Taylor County. 
Born Dec. 20, 1953, in Lebanon, he was preceded in death by his parents, John Bertus and Mary Malissa Nally Switser. 
He was the meat manager at Parkview IGA in Springfield for several years, was a fishing guide at Green River Lake for over 20 years, was a member of Kentucky Silver Muskie Club and served as president of the Campbellsville chapter for several years, was a member of Muskie, Inc. and was an avid John Prine fan.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Cayton Switser of Lebanon, his sister, Evelyn Roberta Sallee of Springfield and a nephew, Ike (Tammy) Sallee of Springfield.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Tobe Yankey, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery. 
Pallbearers were Greg Simms, Doug Osbourne, Joe Auberry, David White, Bill Cayton, Tommy Reddick, Bryan Morris and David Hubbard.
Honorary pallbearers were his Muskie fishing buddies.
Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield was entrusted with arrangements.
