John David "Johnny" Harmon, 69, of Russell Lane in Springfield, died at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born April 16, 1948, in Lebanon, he was preceded in death by his parents, William Hollis "Buck" Harmon Sr. and Helen Louise Mattingly Harmon; a brother, William Hollis Harmon Jr. and two sisters, Carolyn and Linda Harmon.
He was a 1966 graduate of Mackville High School, a U.S. Army combat veteran of the Vietnam War, was a replacement operator at General Electric Co. in Building 4 in Louisville for 33 years, a farmer and a member of Mackville Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Sue Isham Harmon, two daughters, Holli Ann (Darnell) White of Willisburg and Nicki (Jeff) Coulter of Bloomfield, a brother, Charles Arthur (Kathleen) Harmon of Springfield and three grandchildren, Daphne (Aaron) White Moore, Shelby White and McCabe White.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Cooper and Rev. Rylan Allen officiating.  Burial was in Peter Cemetery in Mackville with military honors conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Pallbearers were Andy Matherly, Ray Kelty, Todd Harmon, Mike Yankey, Don Matherly and Thomas Bishop.
Honorary pallbearers were Mackville area Vietnam veterans, Freddie Bottoms, Dwight Sanders, Barry Peavler, Eddie Cornish, Dennis Gammon and Bobby Brady.
Arrangements were entrusted to Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home.
