John Thomas "Tommy" Coulter, age 77, of Willisburg, passed away at 12:20 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014 at the home of his son in Cox's Creek, Ky.

A native of Washington County, he was born on June 19, 1936 to the late Revel and Ruby Lewis Coulter. He was a retired farmer and of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death was his wife, Betty Ray Chesser Coulter on Oct. 24, 2009; a son, Gregory Keith Coulter on Sept. 13, 2011; three sisters, Stella Maye Coulter, Mary Pearl Toll and Serena Coulter; and three brothers, James Luther Coulter, Clyde Joseph Coulter and Ezra Coulter.
Survivors include a son, Ricky Coulter and his wife, Vickie of Cox's Creek and a grandson, Jessie Keith Coulter.
Funeral services were held at 1p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22 at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. J.W. Hatfield, pastor of the Willisburg Baptist Church, officiating.
Entombment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers were Richard Newton, J.L. Yates, Phillip Akins, Ernie Akins, Terry Tingle and Willie Cheser.
