Johnnie A. Harmon, 73, of Rizer Avenue in Springfield, passed away at 1:09 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
He was born in Marion County on June 20, 1945, to the late Robert Allen and Helen Coyle Harmon.
He was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church, he was an employee of the Washington County Recycling Center, a former employee of Universal Pipe Company and a contractor.
Preceding him in death was his daughter, Allison Paige Harmon on Feb. 13, 2018, and a sister, Faye James.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Hays Harmon; four sons, Morgan Harmon (Amanda) of Willisburg, Marty Harmon (Cindy) of Lexington, Stacy Harmon (Kim) of Springfield and Jody Harmon (Karen) of Bardstown; five grandchildren, John Harmon, Samuel Harmon, Noah Harmon, Ashleigh Harmon and Peyton Harmon and two sisters, Robbie Masters (Tony) of Mackville and Mary Brady (Jeff) of Springfield.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 27, at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Estes, pastor of Beech Grove Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was on Cemetery Hill.
Serving as pallbearers were Morgan Harmon, Stacy Harmon, Jody Harmon, Samuel Harmon, Noah Harmon, Peyton Harmon and Mike Craig.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
