Julian P. Kelty, 89, of Louisville, passed away Friday, Mar. 1, 2013. He was born Sept. 18, 1923 in Fredericktown, KY.
He was a retired Tool & Die Maker for General Electric, a charter member of St. Martha Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul Society, American Legion Highland Post #201, DAV Chapter 6 and an Army Veteran of WWII. He enjoyed volunteering at the V.A. Hospital, where he spent more than 1700 hours in service to others.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Lillian Wheatley Kelty; and two grandsons, Larry Miller and Jesse Kelty.
Survivors include his children, Richard Kelty, Gene Kelty (Debbie), Donnie Kelty and Judy Sanneman (Richard); 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday Mar. 5, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane. Entombment followed in Resthaven Memorial Park.
