Helen Kay Adams Kennedy, 73, of Springfield, passed away Monday morning, Jan. 15, 2018, at her home.
She was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on Feb. 16, 1944, to the late Hobert Clark and Helen Ruth Braun Adams.
She was a member of the River of Life Church, a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and a graduate of Murray State University. She was a member of the Washington County Homemakers Club and the Quilting Club. Kay was a retired University of Kentucky Extension Agent for Washington County a position she held from 1994 until her retirement.
Survivors include her son, Kevin Kennedy (Kelly) of Henderson; her granddaughter, Kaylee Kennedy; two brothers, Clark Adams (Kathy) of Homosassa, Florida, and Kent Adams (Cindy) of Coral Springs, Florida, and a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Edna Terrell of Cadiz, Kentucky.
The family would like to thank Ken and Pat Rose, Marlene Frost and her friends at the River of Life Church who helped her during her time of illness.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 20, at the River of Life Church with Rev. Troy Shelton and Marc Terrell officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
Serving as pallbearers were Chris Adams, Ryan Adams, David Gordon, Mike Casey, Marc Terrell and Charles Terrell.
