Larry Dennis Wright, 72, of Perryville, Kentucky, died on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at his residence. Larry was born May 15, 1945, to the late G.L. and Ruby Lewis Wright. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Phyllis Jean Bottom Wright.
Larry, a former truck driver for Triple S Transport, was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He loved his horses and was a member of the Quarter Horse Association.
In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by seven children, Angie Wright, Kathy Wright, Rosalind (Bruce) Pheasant, Christopher Wright, Rebecca Bishop (Damon), Maegan Castle (Jeff) and Eric Riley (Mary); 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five sisters and three brothers, Rackie Kenneth (Margaret) Wright, Connie (Mary) Wright, Georgia Helen Wright, Barbara Jane (Bobby) Coulter, Charlotte Diane (Pete) Kaseta, Janice Kay (Willie) McGuire, Patricia (Bobby) Dick and Ricky Dale (Tiffany) Sutton; and his beloved Quarter Horses, Dample and Iris.
The funeral service was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with burial following in Hillcrest Cemetery. Bro. Jamie Hamilton officiates.
Pallbearers were Justin Yeast, Michaela Montgomery, Bobby Joe Wheeler, Joe (Lud) Auberry, Lynn Bottom and Brandon Bottom. Honorary pallbearers were Kinley Hunt, Kaegan Tyler Bishop and employees of Triple S Transport.
