Linda Kaye Boblitt Staton, 72, of the Pottsville community of Washington County, passed away at 2:28 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
A native of Washington County, she was born Oct. 1, 1945, to the late Edison Cleo and Mary Hazel Washburn Boblitt.
She was a member of the New Beginnings Community Church, a homemaker and a retired employee of Whirlpool Corporation of Danville.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Corine Peters on Sept. 22, 2013, and a brother, Charles Boblitt of Aug. 6, 2015.
Survivors include her husband, Donnie Staton; a son, Ricky Staton (Charlotte) of Springfield; two grandsons, John Marcus Staton (Amanda) and Marcus Earl Staton; a great-grandchild, Corbin Lane Staton; a sister, Peggy Harley (Martin) of Willisburg; two brothers, Roy Lee Boblitt Sr. (Betty) of Willisburg and Donald "Duck" Boblitt (Elizabeth) of Springfield and a half-sister, Betty Boblitt of Hillview.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 23, at the New Beginnings Community Church with Rev. Stacy Wilson, the church pastor, officiating.
Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Juanita Vernon, Deloris Coulter, Dorothy Jones and Delphia Warner.
Casket bearers were Richard Young, Chad Warner, Michael Harley, Roy Boblitt Jr., Gary Boblitt and Johnny Boblitt.
