Lloyd C. Russell, 84, of Springfield, passed away at 12:12 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
A native of Washington County, he was born Sept. 21, 1933, to the late Johnnie B. and Eula Frances Coyle Russell.
He was a member of the Open Arms Community Church in Lebanon and a self-employed contractor.
Preceding him in death was his first wife, Mary Ada Bishop Russell on Feb. 8, 1985, and three brothers, George O. Russell on May 9, 2003, Orrie M. Russell on May 17, 2005, and Shelby Russell on Dec. 6, 2016.
Survivors include, his wife, Charlotte Carrico Russell; a daughter, Marilyn Durham (Wesley) of Elizabethtown; a son, John Russell (Mary) of Springfield; two step-sons, Donnie Parrott of Springfield and Jason O'Bryan (Jo Renee) of Bardstown; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and a brother, Edward Russell (Peggy) of Burgin.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 19, at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Bishop, officiating.
Burial was in the Beech Grove Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Lynn Russell, Tony Russell, Darryl Russell, Larry Bishop, Danny Bishop, Terry Bishop, Timmy Bishop and Steven Bishop.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Gideons International or Open Arms Community Church.
