Martha Faye Nally Simpson, 85, formerly of 326 W. Main St., Springfield, died at 7:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at Windsor Gardens in Bardstown.

Born Dec. 25, 1928 in Washington County, she was preceded in death by her parents, James Robert and Nannie Kate Smith Nally, her husband, Richard Vance Simpson, July 12, 2008 and two brothers, Raymond Nally in 1992 and Thomas Nally in 1977.
She had worked as an operator at Hanmacher -Vogel Sewing Factory, in the bottling plant at Barton Distillery in Bardstown, was a homemaker and a member of St. Rose Catholic Church.
She is survived by the eight children of Bear and Sally Keene whom where her caretakers of 25 years, Tom Keene of Lexington, John and Joe Keene of Louisville and Jimmy Keene of Springfield and Charlotte Shumway of Louisville, Molly Smith of Bardstown, Virginia Drury of Ft. Thomas and Catherine Clements of Lexington.
Funeral mass was conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Rev. Kevin McGrath, O.P. officiating. Burial was in St. Rose Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tom, John Joe and Jimmy Keene, Michael Shumway and Zachary Smith.
