Mary Lou Milburn Harmon, age 77, of Springfield, passed away at 7:07 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.
A native of Washington County, she was born on April 25, 1935 to the late William Haldeen and Gertrude Pendergraft Milburn.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, a 1953 graduate of Springfield High School and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Jim Kent Harmon on Oct. 18, 2007; and four brothers, Billy, Morris, H.T. and Garnett Milburn.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanie Cecil (Hal) of Louisville; three sons, Kenny Harmon (Pat) of Springfield, Mike Harmon (Iva) of Versailles and Kelly Harmon (Sarah) of Richmond; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nellie Haydon (Ben) of Bardstown and Iona Williams (Bill) of Clarksville, Tenn.; and two brothers, Gilbert Milburn (Nancy) of Bardstown and Delbert Milburn (Bonnie) of Danville.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 24 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Cal Adams, the church pastor, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. John McDaniel, a former pastor.
Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Travis Cecil, Trey Cecil, Bradley Coyle, Jimmy Harmon, Zach Harmon, Andrew Harmon, Taylor Harmon and Brian Serpone.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
