vMary Ruth Elmore Pearson, 85, of Bardstown, formerly of Willisburg, passed away at 9:35 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at the Colonial Health & Rehab Center in Bardstown.
A native of Bloomfield, she was born on Nov. 18, 1932, to the late Martin and Bessie Elizabeth Hagan Elmore.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Ernest C. Pearson on June 20, 2012; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Pearson; a granddaughter, Peighton Pearson; a grandson, Mike Hardin; three sisters, Bernette Nichols, Alene Yates and Kathleen Curtsinger and four brothers, Jimmy, Junior, Rudolph and Carroll Elmore.
Survivors include a son, Darrell Pearson (Susan) of Bardstown; a daughter, Brenda Norton (Jackie) of Taylorsville; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Hayånes officiating.
Burial was in the High View Cemetery at Chaplin.
Serving as pallbearers were Billy Hardin, Jerry Lewis, Roger Wohner, Mike Williamson, Lee Lewis and Cleo Lee Lewis.
