Michael Allen Buckley, 73, of Willisburg, passed away at 5:50 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, he was born Feb. 13, 1944, to the late Stanley H. and Edith Pearl Crawley Buckley.
He was a member of the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy and a retired employee of the Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Sylvia Buckley Spencer on Aug. 1, 1996.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hood Buckley; a daughter, Lisa Hume (David) of Willisburg; two grandsons, Brandon Chesser and Dylan Hume; a sister, Dianne Roberson (Charles) of Jeffersonville, Indiana; a brother, David Buckley (Barbara) of Louisville, a nephew and two nieces.
Funeral services were held at noon, Monday, Sept. 25, at Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Mike Willingham, a former pastor, officiating. Rev. Keith Creech, the church pastor, assisted him.
Burial was in the Brush Grove Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Roger Monroe, Kenny Monroe, Darrell Monroe, Charles Bobblett, Bobby Chesser and Eugene Chesser.
