Raymond Humes, 86, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at his residence.
He was born on Dec. 23, 1931, to the late William Pete and Nellie Rose Murphy Humes. Raymond was a farmer and a United States Army Veteran.
Along with his parents, his wife, Ruby Jean Tingle Humes, preceded him in death.
He is survived by three sons, Billy Humes of Raywick, Roy (Phyllis) Humes and Danny (Debbie) Humes, both of Springfield; his sister, Alice (Larry) Wilder and his brother, Jerry Humes, both of Fairfield; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield. John Thomas officiated. Interment was in Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville.
Pallbearers were Daniel Humes, Scotty Humes, Erica Bartley, Chrissy Blandford, Laura Humes, Barbara Hagan and Sarah Thompson.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to Hospice of Green River.
