Roxie Wells Puckett, 81, of Louisville, formerly of Willisburg, passed away at 4:40 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Washington County, she was born on Feb. 17, 1936, to the late Jesse and Leila Gordon Wells.
She was a 1954 graduate of Willisburg High School, attended Freed-Hardeman Christian University in Henderson, Tennessee, a member of the Church of Christ and a former secretary for the University of Louisville.
Preceding her in death were five sisters, Mary Ellen Gamble, Ruth Carr, Edna Dedman, Elizabeth Deacon and Naomi Wells and five brothers, Joe, Maurice, Daniel, Sonny & Steve Wells.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Puckett; a daughter, Sandra Clark (Charles) of Floyd Knobs, Indiana; two sons, Lee Puckett and Doug Farmer both of Louisville; two grandchildren, Jaime Clark and Sarah Cragwall (Michael); a great-grandchild, Emmett Lowry and a sister, Lillian Farmer of Louisville.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 16, at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Noble, officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers were Fred Farmer, Michael Cragwall, Charles Clark, Tom Wells, Tim Wells and Deacon Wells.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
