Mrs. Sarah Trent Chesser, age 86, of Brush Grove Rd, Willisburg, passed away Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 at 1:32 a.m., at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, Ind.

A native of Nelson County, she was born on April 2, 1927 to the late Sherman and Janie Goodlett Trent. She was a member of the Willisburg Church Of God Of Prophecy and a homemaker. Preceding her in death was a sister, Bessie Prather and two brothers, Fred and J.W. Trent.
Survivors include, her husband, Ancil Chesser; five sons, Larry Chesser (Tammy), Keith Chesser (Connie) and Rodney Chesser (Carla) all of Willisburg, Gary Chesser (Paula) of Winter Garden, Florida and Bradley Chesser (Mindy) of Bloomfield; a daughter, Lisa Woford (David) of Bloomfield; fourteen grandchildren eleven great grandchildren and two sisters, Sueanna Hood of Bardstown and Almeida Mitchell of Chaplin.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the Willisburg Church Of God Of Prophecy with Rev. Mike Willingham, a former pastor, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Keith Creech, the church pastor, and Shirley Ball., senior director. Burial was in the Brush Grove Cemetery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were granddaughters, Shannon Chesser Herring, Rebecca Woford, Sara Chesser Lacey, Kaylee Chesser and Stephanie Smith. Casket bearers were grandsons, Scott Chesser, Jeremy Chesser, Zachary Chesser, Brian Chesser, Justin Chesser, Cory Chesser, Tyler Chesser, Josh Kirsch and Ryan Woford.
