Texie Haydon Oldham, 77, of Holy Cross, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018, at her home.
A native of Washington County, she was born May 19, 1941, to the late Russell and Eva Tatum Haydon.
She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death was her first husband, John Robert Mattingly Jr. on Dec. 5, 1978; a son, John Russell Mattingly on Aug. 7, 1963; a brother, Bobby Haydon and two sisters, Jody Mudd and Maymie Jane Hill.
Survivors include a son, Wayne Sweat of Holy Cross; two daughters, Terrie Cartwright of New Albany, Indiana and Sandy Mattingly (Chuck Vaughn) of Louisville; one grandson, Hunter Sweat; a brother, Billy Haydon of Winchester and five sisters; Betty Lewis (Terry) of Holy Cross, Mary Johnson (T.J.) of Columbus, Ohio, Pamela Kay Hartley of Shepherdsville, Linda Johnson (Charlie) of Clarksville, Indiana and Nancy Walker (Roy) of Campbellsville.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 11, at the New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Johnnie Bailey, a former pastor, officiating.
Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Wayne Sweat, Howard Carney, Chris Smith, Billy Haydon, Chuck Vaughn, Brent Vernon and Roy Walker.
