Mrs. Vivian Shew-maker Martin, age 75, of Louisville, formerly of Springfield, passed away at 1:38 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013 at the Baptist East Hospital in Louisville.

A native of Washington County, she was born on Nov. 5, 1938 to the late Ennis Butler and Daphne Tatum Shewmaker. She was a member of the Beth Haven Baptist Church, 1956 graduate of Springfield High School and a former personal director for the Masonic Homes of Kentucky.
Survivors include, her husband, David Martin; three daughters, Deborah Seay (Jack) and Tammy Ruhl (William) all of Louisville and Monica Clark (Doug) of Jeffersonville, Ind; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and three sisters, Martha Joyce Trowbridge of Versailles, Brenda Bates (Ed) of Smithfield and Pat Hendricks of Springfield.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18 at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Compton, pastor of the Springfield Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.
Serving as pallbearers were Chris Duckworth, Justin Ruhl, Joshua Banks, Steven Tatum, David Bates and Ben Hendricks.
