Waunita Breeding McMichael, 88, of Willisburg, passed away at 6:12 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at the Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.
A native of Washington County, she was born on July 19, 1929, to the late Cecil Hubert and Ida Mae Cheatham Breeding.
She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, a homemaker and a former employee of Medco Center of Springfield.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Leroy McMichael on Feb. 20, 2004; two sons, Darrel McMichael and Cecil Thomas Keeling; three sisters, Effie Simpson, Lorene Tingle and Beulah Coulter and four brothers, Cecil, Elwood, Eugene and Homer Breeding.
Survivors include her son, Donnie Lee McMichael (Debra) of Willisburg; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 26, at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Sheena Blake officiating.
Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Delena McMichael, Chase McMichael and Jason Moses.
Casket bearers were Don McMichael, Kevin McMichael, Jordan Settles, Jacob Settles, Brock Hawkins and Tim Marple.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
