Wilma Elliott Turner, 82, of Mackville, passed away at 12:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
A native of Mercer County, she was born Jan. 2, 1936, to the late Morris and Hester Pankey Elliott.
She was a member of the Thompsonville Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles E. Turner on Feb. 2, 2011, a sister, Glenda Terhune and a brother, William "Bill" Elliott.
Survivors include her twin sons, Leland and Lynden Turner of Mackville, three sisters-in-law, Mary Lee Elliott and Brenda Russell of Harrodsburg and Betty Turner of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27, at Thompsonville Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Chesser, a former pastor, officiating. Rev. Ronnie Lee, pastor of the Harris Creek Baptist Church in Moreland, assisted him.
Burial was in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Steve Elliott, Bill Elliott, Tim Russell, Joe Hays, Wesley Holderman and John Peavler.
Casket bearers were Douglas Young, Benjamin Settles, Butch Russell, Nathan Cochran, Jeff Raines and Nelson Reynolds.
