Lillian Katherine Milburn Lowe, age 100, of Danville, formerly of Washington County, passed away peacefully at her home with her family around her at 7:02 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014.

She was born on Dec. 25, 1913 in Pottsville, Washington County, to the late Wesley Oscar and Josie Lou Key Milburn. Preceding her in death was her husband, Albert Sidney Lowe on Feb. 20, 1999; a grandson, Morris Allen Bunch; a granddaughter, Nancy Katherine Carney; three sisters, Jewell Lester, Georgia Viola "Babe" Bricken and Lucille Clark; and four brothers, Frank W. "Dub" Milburn, Oscar Jr. "Johnny" Milburn, Melvin Lawrence "Happy" Milburn and Garland Ray Milburn.
She is survived by four daughters, Margaret Bunch (Floyd, deceased), Gladys Carney (Garland, deceased) of Springfield, Janice Fenwick (Leon) and Debbie Lowe of Danville; a son, James Lowe (Karen) of Danville; one brother, Eugene Milburn of Harrodsburg, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from Mackville and Danville. Ten grandchildren, Phyllis Downs (Gary) of Bardstown, Linda Keene (Steve) of Bowling Green, Roseanne Tingle of Springfield, Dale Carney of Louisville, Todd Carney (Karen) of Springfield, Denise McWhorter (David), Michelle Fenwick, April Lowe, Christopher Lowe (Kallie) and Patrick Lowe of Danville. Thirteen great grandchildren, Rhonda Case of Bardstown, Bryan Keene (Jennifer) of Mackville, Ashley Keene (Sachiko) of Shephedsville, Phillip Carney and Chelsea Carney of Springfield, Amanda Bunch and Matthew Bunch of Elkton, Maryland, Garrett Tingle of Mt. Washington, Kaitlyn Carney, Nicholas Carney, Lindsay Carney, Ann Weslee Carney, all of Springfield, Jessica McWhorter and Wells Patrick Lowe of Danville; one step great grandchild, Zachary McWhorter of Danville; five great-great grandchildren, Kylie Case of Bardstown, Jessie Keene, Riann Keene and Claire Keene, all of Shepherdsville, Hannah Keene and Derrick Keene of Mackville.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 7, at Carey and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Martin, officiating. Burial was in Peter Cemetery at Mackville.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Dr. Daniel Moran and staff of Heritage Hospice.
Serving as pallbearers were grandsons, Dale Carney, Todd Carney, Patrick Lowe, Christopher Lowe and great grandsons Bryan Keene and Ashley Keene.
