Anna Lou Tennill Barr, 87, of Willisburg, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014, at her home.

A native of Washington County, she was born on June 3, 1926, to the late Wilmer Lee and Jenny Catherine Grigsby Tennill.
She was a member of the Willisburg Baptist Church and retired employee of the former Cricketeer Company of Harrodsburg.
Preceding her in death was her husband, James Chressel Barr on Sept. 27, 1989; her daughter-in-law, Wanda Barr on Sept. 4, 2009, and a sister, Nancy Sue Tennill in 1938.
Survivors include, a son, Bruce Barr; two grandchildren, Stacy Barr and his wife, Beth and Justin Barr; two great-grandchildren, Stacia Burton and her husband, Nathan and Derek Barr all of Willisburg; four sisters, Helen Parrott of Springfield, Josephine Foster of Louisville, Betsy Curtsinger of Willisburg and Mary Jo Hale of Versailles and two brothers, Pete Tennill and his wife, Katherine and Ralph Tennill and his wife, Johnnie all of Springfield.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 26 at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Abbott, pastor of the North Rolling Fork Baptist Church in Parksville, officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were John Kirsch, Timothy Stine and Roy Burkhead.
Casket bearers were Timmy Stine, Casey Stine, Gary Curtsinger, Jeff Bishop, Mark Bishop and Cody Bishop.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
