Lydia Lee Barber RoBards, 91, formerly of Grundy Ave., Springfield, died at 11:40 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, at Nazareth Home in Louisville.
Born May 30, 1922, in Washington County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Oliver and Roxie Lee Wakefield Barber, her husband, Robert A. RoBards, Nov. 14, 1984, three brothers, John Frank, Oliver Houston "Tink", and Richard Wakefield "Buddy" Barber and a sister, Roxie Belle Hubbard.
She was a graduate of Nazareth Academy, a former member of Springfield BPW, St. Dominic Altar Society and was a member of St. Dominic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Richard (Linda) RoBards of Campbellsville and John (Jeannie) RoBards of Louisville, a daughter, Bobbie (Charlie)Mathews of West Linn, Oregon, nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. Culpepper Elliott officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery. 
Pallbearers were J. R., Ryan and William RoBards, Charles Mathews, David Hubbard and Alex Barber.
Contributions are suggested to St. Dominic Church Building Fund.
