David Allen Hood, 64, of Lawson Lane, Willisburg, passed away at 2:45 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2014, at his home after an illness.

A native of Washington County, he was born on June 21, 1950, to the late Olson and Beulah Pinkston Hood.
He was a member of the Willisburg Church Of God and a retired farmer.
Preceding him in death were three sisters, Janice Baker on March 14, 1994, Judy Coontz on Oct. 18, 2012 and Phyllis Donelson on Feb. 10, 2014 and a brother, Bobby Hood on Jan. 22, 1999.
Survivors include his wife Imogene Hall Hood; a son, John Hood (Angela Brady) of Willisburg; two daughters, Marlene Hood Corbin (Joel) of Lawrenceburg and Lisa Hood Buckman (Jay) of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Billy Hood (Judy Anne) of Willisburg and a sister, Kim Garza of Lexington.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 22 at the Willisburg Church of God with Rev. Johnny Hood, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Mike Willingham.
Burial was in the Brush Grove Road Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Michael Hood , Jonathon Hood, Donnie Byrd and Johnny Kirsch.
Casket bearers were Mike Hood, Ronnie Hood, David Sweazy, Roger Tingle, Jackie Byrd and Terry Clark.
