Jimmie Allen Goff, age 67, of Fairfield, passed away at 9:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.
A native of Washington County, he was born on Jan. 29, 1945 to the late Charles W. and Myrtle Lewis Goff.
He was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church, a carpenter and a farmer.
Preceding him in death were two sisters, Valerie Hill and Martha Wimsatt; and two brothers, Charles Richard Goff and Carl Dewayne Goff.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Dykes Goff; a daughter, Cynthia Penwell (Steven) of Murray; a stepson, Jason Canup of Hardin, Ky.; two stepdaughters, Kristi Canup of Benton and Andrea Brown (Dave) of Salem, Indiana; five grandchildren; a brother, Billy Goff (Wanda) of Springfield; and two sisters, Wanda Chesser (John) of High Grove and Donna Mattingly (Karl) of Mt. Washington.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Morrow, pastor of the Riverview Baptist Church, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Steve Chesser.
Burial is in Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers were Brandon Penwell, Tyler Penwell, Philip Goff, Brian Goff, Alex Wimsatt and Tim Chesser.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
