Kenneth KNIGHTS Obituary

KNIGHTS, Kenneth Ronald - Left us quietly on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Sunnybrook Hospital at the age of 92. Only son of Ethel and Arthur Knights, he was ever proud of his Australian roots. Survived by his loving wife Rae, children Pat Kremer (Forbes George), Bill (Barbara Robertson), Karen Dares (Alan Dares) and Doug (Kathy Magladry), grandchildren Jacqui, Kim, Kelly, John, Paul, Shannon, Max, Heather, Rachel, Erika, Lee, Savannah and great-grandchildren Margaret, Emily, Johnathan, Riley, Scarlett, Taya and Maya. An electrical engineering degree (University of Manitoba) and an MBA (University of Toronto) laid the foundation for a long and successful career at Ontario Hydro. As a determined golfer, a successful fiddler, composer and award winner, a traveller and a handyman, Dad's retirement was fulfilling and active. It was above all, however, family that always came first. His encouragement, assistance and wisdom, always there for us, will be forever missed. A reception to celebrate Dad's life will be held at 2350 Bayview Avenue, on Sunday, October 28th from 2-5 p.m. Donations may be made to either the Salvation Army or Military Families Fund (www.cfpsa.com).
