JOHN CAMPBELL HARDEN Passed away September 14, 2013. Born in Hamilton, Ontario on July 29, 1922. Predeceased by his loving wife and best friend Marion. Predeceased by his sister Margaret Jeanne Stubbs. Loving father of his daughter Patricia Stephenson (Kim), and son Brent (Lori). Loving grandpa to Brad, Cole, Valerie, Fraser and Laura. Survived by his sister Amy Lewis (Edward). A long time member of Hopedale Presbyterian Church, Where he seved as Elder for 42 years, Sunday School Superintendent. Clerk of Session for 14 years, Board of Managers, and Trustee. Past Commodore of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron. Retired from Occidental Petroleum (Nexen). WWII veteran, serving with the 1st Canadian Division Signals in Sicily, Italy, and Northwest Europe. Visitation will take place at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Kopriva Taylor Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to World Vision.
