BOASIE, Flora Helen - Passed away peacefully on March 26, 2015 at Woodhaven Long Term Care in Markham at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband Mark. Loved mother of Lynn Kenyon and Patricia Huff (Kathryn). Cherished grandmother of Bradley (Nicole), Stephen and Russell Kenyon and great-grandmother of Kylah, Emma, Marlee and Cooper. Flora served on the board of the United Church of Canada and she was a charter and life member of St. Mark's United Church in Scarborough. Flora loved the cottage, curling and her many pets. She will be sorely missed for her optimism and her lively sense of humour. A special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Woodhaven for taking such good care of her. A Memorial Visitation will take place at the DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street N. (Markham Road), Markham, on Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amnesty International Canada or to the SPCA. BAILEY, Stanley Hilliard - It is with love and sorrow that we say goodbye to the leader of our family in his 90th year. Hill was a loving husband for 65 years of Ruth (nee Varnell) and an adored father of his four children David (Kathy), John (Heather), Ken (Nancy) and Kathy (Ken Kryklywy). He was a fun-loving grandpa to his twelve grandchildren and proud great- grandpa of six great-grandchildren. "To live on in the lives of those we love is to never die."

BAILIE, Warren Robert - Former Chief Election Officer of the Province of Ontario Former President of Irish Regiment of Canada Association Member of the Queen's Park Quarter Century Club December 4, 1928 - March 25, 2015 Warren passed peacefully at the MacKenzie Health Centre on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Elizabeth, his sweetheart for more than 65 years. Loving father of Lynda (Pat) DiBerto, Robert (Debbie), Samuel Randy (Jenn), Catherine Bailie McGrath, predeceased by his son Brian James (Daphne). Awesome grandfather of Chris (Alison), Jon (Kate), Jennifer (A.J.), Sara (Kevin), Samantha (Frazer), Angela (Marc), Jamie (Janet), Kyle, Reece, Blair (Kate), Peyton, Claire (Rasih), Taylor, Leianne, Katie and Liam and great-grandchildren Ethan, Chiara, Noa, Liam, Merrick, Kieran, Noah and Kennedy. Survived by brother Calvin (Meryl), sister-in-law Connie (late Ross), brother-in-law Grant Whaley (late Mary Jo) and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff at the dialysis unit and the Intensive Care and Palliative staff and our angel nurse Helen, Cathy, Loraine, Laber and Donna. Friends may call at the MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday. Service of worship and celebration of Warren's life at Thornhill Presbyterian Church, 271 Centre Street, Thornhill, from 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service at 2 p.m. Cremation. BARNACAL, PHYLLIS GERALDINE (CRAIG)  
PHYLLIS GERALDINE BARNACAL (née CRAIG) Passed away peacefully on March 21, 2015 in Alliston. Phyllis was born in Carsonby, Ontario, on March 25, 1922. She married Jack on May 20, 1944 and was a loving wife until he died in January 1995. She was also a devoted mother to Dave, Jean, Susan and Craig who will miss her every day, as will her sister Marylyn Adam, her six grandchildren and her three great-grandchildren. Words cannot adequately express our gratitude to the staff and volunteers at the Matthews House Hospice in Alliston for their extraordinary care over the last three months. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Hospice (6028 Hwy. 89, P.O. Box 10060, Alliston, Ontario, L9R 0B7) would be greatly appreciated.

BENOIT, Franklyn Proctor — September 17, 1928 ~ March 24, 2015 Beloved husband for 49 years of Ann. Dear father of Adrienne (Bill Simmons), Suzanne (Gary Meanchos) and Paul (Jennifer). Proud grandfather of Kyle (Angie) and Cameron Simmons, Ethan and Dylan Meanchos and Justin Benoit. Predeceased by his sister Barbara Irving. Enthusiastic member for 59 years of the Toronto Lawn Tennis Club, avid golfer and skier. "When I stand in glory I will see His face, And there I'll serve my King forever. In that holy place." Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 18th at 2 p.m. at The Church of the Resurrection (1100 Woodbine Avenue, Toronto). BIRCH, Evelyn  
BIRCH, Evelyn - Evelyn's family are deeply saddened to announce that she passed peacefully on March 24, 2015 at Trillium Hospital, Mississauga. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Evelyn moved to Canada after the war and settled in Port Credit. Predeceased by her husband Charles. Evelyn will be greatly missed by her children Kevin, Joanne, Jennifer and Michael, family both here and abroad, her friends and colleagues in the many volunteering groups that she was involved in throughout her life. Visitation will be held at the funeral home of Skinner & Middlebrook Ltd., 128 Lakeshore Rd. E., Mississauga, on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 11 Peter St. S., Mississauga. Interment Springcreek Cemetery.

BROPHEY, PETER MILLAR  
PETER MILLAR BROPHEY October 5, 1928 - March 24, 2015 Peter Brophey was a true gentleman, a loving husband and father and the master of "Dad Humour". He loved animals, WWII aircraft and steam trains. He spent many happy hours listening to jazz and classical music while working on his HO gauge railroad, going to air shows and travelling the world with Helena, his loving wife, who survives him. Peter is also survived by his three daughters Sue (Geoff), Jean and Tina and four grandchildren Sam, Katharine, Sean and Kaitlyn, along with his beloved cats Maximum and Minimum. Peter was born and raised in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce in Montreal, graduated from McGill University and became a Chartered Accountant. He had a very successful business career as a Director and V.P. Finance at Johnson & Johnson in Montreal and later as a Director and V.P. Corporate Affairs at Xerox of Canada in Toronto. Peter was past President of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and served as Chairman of the Canada/U.S. trade committee. He was also a past President of the Institute for Political Involvement, Vice Chairman of CJRT-FM, Toronto and past Chairman of the Information Technology Association of Canada. Peter served on the Economic Council of Canada and was a past Vice President of Community Relations and Trustee of the United Way of Metropolitan Toronto. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Madelaine Brophey, as well as his sister Beverley (Turner). He will be greatly missed by his many extended family members and friends. A private gathering will take place in Peter's honour. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or to the charity of your choice.

BROWN, David John - After a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the age of 66. Always loved by his wife Elizabeth. Proud father of Becky (Andrew Bernier) and Douglas (Erin). Loving Papa of James, Claire and Mackenzie. Loved by brother Peter and family. Will be missed by many family members and friends. David was a talented drummer, lover of animals, enjoyed sailing and a true fan of the Chicago Blackhawks. BROWN, NANCY ELIZABETH (ROBINSON)  
NANCY ELIZABETH BROWN (nee ROBINSON) Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully at the May Court Hospice in Ottawa on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the age of 75. She was taken from us too soon, but will live forever in the memories and hearts of her loving husband Alan; children Jeffrey (Isabelle Panier) and Stephanie (Paul Farlam); cherished grandchildren Benjamin and Marianne; sister Margaret Nixon (Jack) and brother Ted Robinson (Alma); many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law; and close friends. Predeceased by her parents T.L. "Roy" and Dorothy (nee Perkin). We will remember her laughter, her always ready smile, her love of friends and family and her quiet determination. Nancy was a teacher by profession and calling. After leaving teaching to raise her family and moving across Ontario as Alan was transferred as part of his work with Imperial Oil Limited, she returned to teaching and particularly enjoyed her time as a teacher of English as a second language in Toronto, much loved by her adult learners. She will also be remembered for her compassion and lifelong commitment to volunteer work. A private service was held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry. Words cannot express our gratitude for the exceptional care and compassion shown by the May Court Hospice staff and volunteers to Nancy and her family. BUCKLEY, Roy - Peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 68 years of age. Beloved husband of late Gayle (nee Bailey).
