BLACK, Elfriede Marilla  
BLACK, Elfriede Marilla - March 13, 1925 - February 16, 2015 Died peacefully at North York General Hospital, just missing her 90th birthday celebration. Marilla was the beloved wife of the late Gerald Black. Predeceased by her sister Annelis Sperr, she is survived by her sons Norbert and Donald and relatives in Canada and Germany. Born in Germany, Marilla became a Canadian citizen in 1956. She worked at the Toronto Star for a few years, later becoming an active member of IODE. She was also a volunteer at the North York Seniors Centre. For several years after Gerry's death, she travelled with a German club. Marilla loved and cared for family, friends, neighbours, birds and flowers. At Marilla's request, cremation has taken place, with her ashes to be interred at Pine Hills Cemetery. A Memorial gathering will be held at PAUL O'CONNOR FUNERAL HOME, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E. (between Pharmacy and Warden), on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 1-3 p.m.

BOVAIRD, JUDY  
JUDY BOVAIRD Passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Lisaard House, Cambridge. Judy resided in New Hamburg and was born 72 years ago in Crewe, England. Beloved wife of the late Bill Bovaird who predeceased her November 23, 2013. Loving mother of Michael and wife Jeanette Bovaird of Florida. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Megan and Nicholas. Dear sister and sister- in-law of David and wife Dora Jones of Ottawa and Diane Jones of Parksville, BC. Judy was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Lucie (Lancaster) Jones and her brother Trevor Jones. Prior to her retirement, Judy enjoyed being an Ontario School Teacher for 35+ years. In keeping with Judy's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario. Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg assisted with the arrangements. BRYANT, Stella - The family of Stella Bryant is sad to announce that Stella died on February 20, 2015, gracious in death as she was in life. Most beloved wife of the late George, Stella will be immeasurably missed by her son James Edward, his wife Lynda and their children Michelle and Darren; daughter Jacquie and her children Zoe, Eli, Kaz and Kieran; son Geoffrey (Lara); step- daughter Cindi (Noel) and by her adoring sister Susan and brother- in-law Lorrie. Sincere thanks to everyone at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of the lives of Stella and George will be held by the river in Norval in the spring. Cherished grandfather to Olivia (John), Patrick, Nicholas, Alexander, Bianca and great- grandfather to Ashley, Emma and John. Will be fondly remembered by his five brothers and sisters-in-law, Domenic (Sandra), Andrea (Teresa), Vito (Grace), Luigi (Michelle) and Costantino (Antoinette). BISHOP, E. Joyce — At the Credit Valley Hospital on Sunday, February 22, 2015.  Dearly beloved wife of the late Fred.  Beloved mother of Robert (Augenia), Peter (Heidi Buchanan) and the late Douglas. Cherished grandmother of Christopher and  Grant, Cameron and  Amy, William and Kimberley and Amanda.  Proud great-grandmother of Ruby Mae.  Dear sister of Nancy and Sheila and predeceased by William, Viola, Philip, Margaret and Ruth. Joyce was a retired registered nurse and a longtime public health nurse in the City of Etobicoke, ON; volunteer of the year 2001. Served 11 years on the Board of Directors of CANES. Longtime member and volunteer at St. Paul the Apostle Church Rexdale, writing and publishing a book on the history of St. Paul's on the occasion of the church's 50th anniversary (1954-2004). 3-year member of Etobicoke Board of Health and honoured by Rogers Cable TV, making a mini documentary about her work in Etobicoke airing on Rogers in 2005.  Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Neweduk-Erin Mills" Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (just east of Erin Mills Pkwy.) on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 2 p.m. until the time of the Service of Remembrance in the Chapel at 3 p.m. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca

BORISKEWICH, Mary Matilda (nee Kokurewicz) - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Boriskewich at the age of 84 on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, after a brief illness, at Etobicoke General Hospital. She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of almost 50 years John Boriskewich. Dear sister to Kazimer Kokurewicz, Stan Kokurewicz. Predeceased by loving sister Anne Waldner. She will be dearly missed by her many neices and nephews, their families and her many friends. Many thanks to the compassionate staff at Leisureworld Norfinch and Etobicoke General Hospital. Doris Brown of Newmarket, childhood sweetheart and loving wife to the late Vernon for 54 years. Dear mother of Lynda Allen (Rod), Douglas (Jayne), Jeffrey (Brenna) and David (Karen). Proud grandmother of Andrew (Sarah), Thomas, Keith, Sarah (Ryan), Grant (Kerry), Glenn (Amber), Cheryl, Carolyn (Greg), Cory (Jaime), Brandon (Anne Marie), Michael, Alexander, Jordan and five great-grandchildren. Doris will be sadly missed by her brother- in-law Ronald Brown (the late Carol), her sister-in-law Betty Brown (the late Logan) and by all of her nieces, nephews and cousins. BLUNT, Cynthia (Forde)  
BLUNT, Cynthia (nee Forde) - December 12, 1926 - February 17, 2015 Cynthia Blunt passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the age of 88. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 52 years, Wilton, children David (wife Doreen), Donna (husband Christopher) and grandchildren Jasmine, Alexis, Tomas and Cairo. Predeceased by brothers George and Rupert, sister Caroline Murray and niece Marcia Small, she is survived by brother Timothy (wife Thelma) and sisters Naomi and Eldorna. "Aunt Cynt", as she was lovingly called by so many, will be especially missed by Glenda Lewis (husband Claudio), Owen Murray (wife Anita), David Murray (wife Jennifer) and Hetty Forde, nieces and nephews she helped settle in Canada. Cynthia was born to parents Charles Adolphus and Claudia Forde in St. Michael, Barbados and trained as a seamstress after completing traditional education. She was one of Barbados' first graduates of Canada's Domestic Workers (Scheme) Training Program and left the island for Canada in June, 1957. Cynthia and Wilton met in 1960 and married on June 16, 1962 at Toronto's British Methodist Episcopal Church where she became a prominent, active member. Cynthia was kind-hearted, generous, loyal, had a sharp wit and biting sense of humour. She was quite a lady and will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be at Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W. (west of Yonge St.), on Friday, February 27th, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Her life will be celebrated at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, 1585 Yonge St. (at Heath St. E.), on Saturday, February 28th at 11 a.m. Interment at York Cemetery will immediately follow the service. Memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer Society of Canada.
