GROVES, Roberta Beth - Born November 5, 1927 in Markham, Ontario. Died July 2, 2015. Predeceased by parents John and Grace Farquharson (nee Johnston), sisters Beryl, Alma and Donalda, brothers Maurice and Arden and niece Juanita. Fondly remembered by her Richmond Hill family, the Glenns, cousin Alexandra and many nieces and nephews. Will be missed by her many friends from her days as a Nurse at Newmarket Hospital, York Central Hospital, a Member of Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church and as a Mackenzie Health Volunteer. Service of Remembrance to be held on Wednesday, July 8th at 11 a.m. at Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church, 10066 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, gifts to Mackenzie Health Foundation or Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated.

Gardhouse, Virginia  
VIRGINIA GARDHOUSE 1929 - 2015 Passed away peacefully, on Thursday, July 2, 2015. Beloved only child of the late George and Melba Gardhouse. Virginia was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by Catharine Shipp Wells and the extended Shipp family. Virginia was a Nursing graduate of Women's College Hospital in 1950, and was employee No. 11 at the former Queensway General Hospital. She was Operating Room Manager until her retirement in 1992. The doctors knew if Miss Gardhouse was standing with her hands on her hips they were in big trouble. Virginia was blessed with a close circle of friends through her hospital relationships and retirement leisure activities. Cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Islington United Church, 25 Burnhamthorpe Rd., on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 11 a.m., followed by a Reception at the Church. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. Consuelo "Connie" GOTERA (nee EDANG) Age 72, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 30, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents Fausta and Gregorio Edang and her brothers Rogelio and Luisito. She is survived by her husband Ambrosio, her sons José (Bob Wehn), Jason (Clare), Jerome and Juancho; her sister-in-law Amelita, her nieces Analou and Melissa and her nephew Joey; her grandsons Dominic, Anthony and Matthew; and many sisters and brothers-in law, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & VISITATION CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229), on Sunday, July 5th from 1 - 3 and 7 - 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, July 6th at 10 a.m. at St. Maria Goretti (717 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough, ON) with interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, all are encouraged to make a donation in memoriam to either the Princess Margaret Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.

GALLOWAY, Tony - With great sadness we announce that Tony Galloway died at his home in Uxbridge on Saturday morning, June 27, 2015 after coping for several years with the effects of cancer and a severe stroke. Loved and adored by all of his family and friends. Tony was an intelligent, accomplished, self- sufficient and gentle man who was always a great support to those around him. He has always been a pillar of strength, practical wisdom and encouragement and he will be greatly missed by us all, but especially by his sons Stephen and Martin, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his partner Sadie Pope. GILLHAM, Catherine Anne - November 25, 1966 - June 26, 2015 Catherine passed away at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket. She leaves her parents Heather and Jack Gillham (Newmarket), her sister Susan Scarlett (Alcona) and her nieces Jocelyn and Tara and her nephew Dalton. She will be fondly remembered by her Aunt Betty Nicholson (Larry) and Uncle Alan Huston, her godparents Lynn and Clarke Edward and their families and her special friends Judy and Bob Poulton. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket, Ontario. The family will meet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. We wish to express our thanks to Father Gordon Sheppard and Pastor Pam Trondson of St. Paul's, Newmarket for their prayers and support, the staff at Eagle Terrace and the doctors and nurses at Southlake for their compassionate care.
