QUICK-GREEN, Jean Patricia Mary (Bapty) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister and friend. Jean passed away peacefully at the United Mennonite Home in Vineland, ON, on Monday, May 11, 2015. She was predeceased by her first husband, Don Quick in 1977 and her second husband, David Green in 2005. She leaves behind her children, Judy (John), Jill (Bruce) and Andrew (Debbie). Also eight grandchildren: Elizabeth (Richard), Henry (Kim), Matthew, Erin (Chris), Ryan (Emily), Sean, Cindy (Bill) and Jennifer (Jamie) and ten great- grandchildren: Scott, Samantha, Sydney, Jack, Kinsley, Brooklin, Mason, Charlie, Lyla and Drew. She also leaves behind her devoted brother Allan (Tricia) and many nieces and nephews. A lady with many talents, she was a Ballerina, a Singer, a WWII Veteran (Navy), a Choir Master, a Dance Instructor, a Librarian, a devoted Church Member and a most wonderful Friend. We miss her terribly. Many thanks to her friends at Heritage Village and to the kind care she received from Dr. Woodland and the nurses and caregivers at the United Mennonite Home. There will be a short memorial service for Jean at St. Alban's Church, 4341 Ontario St., Beamsville, on Wednesday, May 27th at 10:30 a.m. Online condolences at tallmanfuneralhomes.ca

QUINN, Michael - Passed away peacefully May 17, 2015 in his 91st year at Champlain Manor, Orillia, Ontario. Beloved husband of Anne (nee Caulfield), loving father of Derek and his wife Leslie (nee Hollands), Anne and her husband John East and Margaret and her husband Alan Macdonald. Adored by grandchildren Caitlin (nee Macdonald) and her husband Steve Bergeron, Laura East, Cameron Macdonald and Emily East. Loving great-grandfather of Alanna Bergeron. Born March 4, 1925 in Johnstone, Scotland, to Michael Quinn and Ann Roach. Longtime resident of Weston, Ontario. Served in the British Merchant Navy 1947 - 1950, employee of McDonnell Douglas Aircraft, de Havilland Aircraft and A. V. Roe, member of CAW Local 1967, member of the Canadian Soccer Association and Equipment Manager of the Canadian National and National Youth Soccer teams 1972 - 1981. Coached youth soccer and sponsored youth teams in the former boroughs of York and North York. Visitation at 2:00 p.m. and funeral service at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22nd at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West Street North, Orillia, Ontario. The family wishes to thank the staff of Champlain Manor for their kind and compassionate care.
