TAYLOR, Freda Pearl - Formerly of Rexdale The family of Freda Pearl Taylor would like to share her passing on Monday, March 2, 2015, in her 87th year, beloved wife of the late Gordon (Jim) Taylor. Devoted mother of Gordon and Carmen Taylor, Brenda Wolfowich and Gary Peer. Much loved and respected grandmother of Stacey and Ely Anbar, Christina and Nicholas Tino, and Kaitlyn Taylor. Cherished great-grandmother of Ezra Anbar. Dear sister of Hilda Patterson and predeceased by David Henderson, Margaret Coulter, Jean Agnew, and James Henderson. She leaves her family with wonderful memories. The family welcomes you to join them in a celebration of life on Thursday, March 5th at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213), from one o'clock until time of funeral service in the chapel at 2 o'clock. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bolton. Thomas, Evelyn  
THOMAS, Evelyn Jean — May 8, 1922 - February 20, 2015 Evelyn passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Toronto Western Hospital.  Beloved wife of the late Kenneth M. Thomas (1991) and dear mother to the late Patty Thomas.  Survived by her loving daughter Susan Thomas and grandson Robert Blair.  Sister of Helen Gibson and the late Jack Clements.   Mom had tremendous strength and determination to the end.  She was an exceptional woman – caring and compassionate to her family and friends. She had an infectious smile and a twinkle in her eye.   A special thanks to the nurses and doctors at Toronto Western Hospital for their kindness and compassion. Thank you to friends - you know who you are - who stood by day and night.  We could not have done this without your unwavering support.   The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from  2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28.   In recognition of the care provided by Dr. Jocelyn Charles and her team over many year, donations to the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Department of Family and Community Medicine, Room A120, 2075 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, M4N 3M5 would be appreciated. THOMPSON, Gordon James - (WWII Veteran) Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on February 20, 2015, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Mary Victoria. Adored father of Susan (Earl), Karen (David), Deborah (Frank) and Catherine (Keith). Devoted grandfather to Kelly (Aaron), Danielle (Tom), Sasha (Gerald), Adam (Maggie), Hannah and Olivia. Awesome great-grandfather to Indiana, Spencer, Victoria, Morgan, Alyssa and Ellie. Gordon, predeceased by his sister Mabel, will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers Lorne and Grant and their families, his many friends and extended family. Visitation will take place on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at the Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery, 10061 Chinguacousy Rd. (at Bovaird), 905-460-9155. Funeral Service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, February 28th at 11 a.m. Interment Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it was Gordon's request that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Toth, Michael  
TOTH, Michael Miklos — Michael was born in Hungary on December 6, 1933. He was called home on February 22, 2015, at the age of 81. Michael is preceded in death by Gisele Mary, his loving wife of 50 years. Also surviving him are his daughters Erika Gisele Toth McDermott of Port Charlotte, FL, son-in-law Timothy and grandson Dillon; Veronika Mary Toth of Toronto and Kathrina Michelle Toth of Toronto. Nieces and nephews include Anne Marie Sereg of Jacksonville, FL, Michael Sereg of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and spouse Dawn, Dorothy Dyment of Englehart, ON and spouse Ron and family and Patrick Sereg of Burlington, ON and spouse Cara Lee and family. Additional family members include Michael's sister, Ilona Toth Papp and her family, his brother, Alexander Toth, all of them from Hungary. Michael was a Tinsmith and Sheet Metal Mechanic for over 60 years.  He was an avid gardener and loved animals. His many friends, colleagues and clients referred to him as "Young and Healthy" because of his zest for life. A private service will be held at a later time. If desired, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

TRACEY, Cecil Arthur "Art" - Passed away peacefully at the age of 90 in Brampton on February 28, 2015. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of almost 70 years Rita; children Lydia, Lesley (Peter), Neil; grandchildren Janet (Scott), Paul (Tina); great-grandchildren Ashley, Jessica, Jonathan, Sabrina, Kaitlyn; extended family in England and many friends in Canada. Art was predeceased by his sisters. Art was proud of his time as owner of McLellan Jewellers in Bloor West Village in addition to his membership with the Islington and Etobicoke Camera Clubs since the mid-1960s. There will be no service by request. Donations in Art's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Salvation Army. Treidl, Gertrude "Traudl"  
Gertrude ("Traudl") Josefine TREIDL (nee Mattes) 1925 - 2015 Traudl passed away peacefully on February 24th at Ian Anderson House in Oakville, Ontario after a short illness. She was predeceased by Rudy (2000) and siblings Walter and Elfriede. Traudl was a loving Mother to Karen (Christopher) and Bernie and a devoted Grandmother to Jacqueline, Amanda, Ryan, Michael, Jessica (Ben), Kaitlin and Great-grandmother to Emily. She was born and raised in Vienna, Austria. After the war, together with her husband Rudy, she emigrated to Canada and they lived primarily in the cities of Toronto and Oakville. Together, they enjoyed Georgian Bay, an active social life, the arts and traveling. Traudl was a lover of opera and a long-time supporter of the Canadian Opera Company. She was also an excellent cook, and her Christmas cookies were known far and wide. The family would like to thank the very kind staff at Sunrise Assisted Living in Oakville and the Ian Anderson House. Friends will be received at the Turner & Porter  Neweduk Chapel at 1981 Dundas Street West in Mississauga on Saturday March 7th from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, to be followed by a prayer service in the funeral home chapel. A reception at Walker's Fish Market at 2575 Dundas Street West will follow shortly thereafter. Donations can be made to Ian Anderson House, Oakville, Ontario.
