Cahan, Jack  
SQUADRON LEADER JACK CAHAN C.D. (RET) A mensch, died peacefully on July 30, 2015 in his 92nd year. Jack was predeceased by his adored wife Jeanne (Joan) and is survived by his beloved and devoted family: his daughter Karen and son-in-law Auby Paikin and their children Jesse and Emily and Emily's husband Brett; and his daughter Debbie and son-in-law Peter Feldman and their children Amalya, Jacob and Ori. Jack is also survived by his sister Mildred Katz and was predeceased by his parents Esther and Sam Cahan and his brother Les Cahan. Jack was much loved by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Jack served Canada in the Royal Canadian Air Force between 1943 and 1965, as a pilot, instructor and public relations officer. His exemplary service to his country continued throughout his life with involvement in many veterans' organizations, including stints as National Commander and Toronto Post Commander of the Jewish War Veterans of Canada, President of the Air Crew Association and President of the Air Force Association. He touched hundreds of lives through his presentations at Remembrance Day ceremonies over several decades and his volunteer service was recognized many times, most recently with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal. Jack had a successful post-military career in sales management and enjoyed the fruits of his labours by travelling worldwide with Jeanne and their family. His happiest moments were those spent surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He took great pride and delight in his grandchildren and was blessed to see them grow into wonderful young adults who loved and respected their Zaidy deeply. Jack's family is especially grateful to his loving caregivers Nita, Elvie, Shirly and Tenten, who brought great comfort to his last three years. Capizzano, Egidia  
CAPIZZANO, Egidia (nee Belmonte) — 1930 - 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Egidia in her 85th year. She was born in Rende, Cosenza, Italy in 1930. She was one of three children born to Roberto and Maria Belmonte. She was the cherished wife of the late Angelo Capizzano and the mother of the late Tony Capizzano. She leaves behind her children Adam, Fran, Rob, Marie, Frank, John and Munira, her grandchildren, Mike, Adam, Steffanie, Amanda, Robert, Lauren, Isabel, Adam and Nadia, who were the joy of her life and they will miss her dearly. Egidia will be greatly missed by her brother Santo and his wife Emilia Belmonte and her sister Ilda Scarlato and her late husband Giovanni. Egidia was a woman of great kindness and compassion for those around her. She was a gentle soul, her family was her life. She touched so many lives with her love. We were blessed to have her for so many years and we will miss her dearly. Rest in peace Mom. We love you. Family and friends will be received at the Lynett Funeral Home (3299 Dundas St. W., 1 block east of Runnymede Rd.) on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthew's Parish (706 Old Weston Rd., at Rogers Rd.). Beloved son of Andria and Chris, cherished brother of Jenny, much loved boyfriend of Natalie. TULA CONDOS In her 100th year, with family by her side, peacefully after a short illness. Beloved wife of the late John C. Condos. Devoted mother of Dennis and his wife Peggy. Cherished grandmother of Catharine (Claude) and John (Sarah). Loving and proud great-grandmother of Christopher. Tula was a founding member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church and a proud member of the Daughters of Penelope. Feisty and independent, caring and compassionate with a great sense of humour; she is a role model to many. The family will receive friends for visitation at the R.S.
