DONALD NELSON ADAMSON Passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 23, 2016, in his 89th year. Loving husband of 68 years of Rosa (nee Harris). Beloved father of Don and his wife Deb and Cathy and her husband Frank. Proud grandfather of Melissa, Ryan, and Megan. Survived by his sister Ruth Dunagan and predeceased by his brothers Doug, Bruce and John. Don loved to fish and was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying hockey, baseball and football. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, with a private funeral service to take place. Special thanks to the caring staff at Woodhaven Nursing Home. ALDRIDGE, Nellie (nee Rate) - Passed suddenly at home at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late James. Predeceased by her sons, Bill and Jim. Dear mother of Nellie, Charlie (Marie), Sidney (Susie), Edith (Albert), Michael (Cathy) and Sherry (Ron). Nellie was proud grandmother of over 80 grandchildren, plus great- grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. Nellie was born in Port Union and remained there her entire life. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her daughters-in-law Dot and Pat. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McDougall and Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Road, Toronto, 416-267-4656. Funeral service on Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel.

ALMOND, Patricia Ruth — On May 20, 2016 at Toronto East General Hospital in her 86th year peacefully. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Hilliard Almond and dear mother of Valerie and Wendy. Dear sister to Estelle Dover, brother-in-law Robert Dover and brother of the late John Legassicke and best friend/sister-in-law Marie Legassicke. Loving grandmother to Jason and Stephanie and great-grandmother to Ashlyn. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Interment to be held on Saturday, July 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 375 Mount Pleasant Road - meet at the cemetery office. Demetrios "Jim" ANGELOPOULOS Passed away with family by his side on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the age of 67. Loving husband of the late Anna for 30 years. Cherished father of George (Susie) and Kristina (Sajad). Proud Papou of Anna, Nicholas "Smiley", and Emmy. Dear brother of Katherine, Chris, Rhea and Fofe. Jim will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his family and friends in Canada and in Greece for his great sense of humour, positivity, and pride. He always had a great time everywhere he went, enjoyed dancing at every opportunity and above all else, spending time with family. His main wish was for his family to be happy and healthy. Marie ATCHISON Marie Britt Atchison died suddenly, following a long illness Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Lakeshore Lodge (Etobicoke). She was born May 22, 1934 in New Delhi, India and raised in Sweden and came to Canada in 1956. She is survived by husband Glenn, children Steve (Darlene), Britt (John) and Donald, 6 grandchildren (Alexander, Erik, Amanda, Dana, Mackenzie, Claire and one great-grandchild, Riley), sisters Ulla (Bruce), Ann and brother Carl (Barbara) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Ella Norden and daughter Karen. Marie's hobbies included painting, reading, knitting and watching old classic movies. She had a loving and forgiving heart and demonstrated the meaning of courage and perseverance during her illness of the last few years. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (at 14th St., between Islington and Kipling Aves., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. AUSTIN, Teresa Catherine (nee Haughey) — Passed away peacefully at home surrounded with love on June 20, 2016 at the age of 86. Teresa is predeceased by her parents Catherine and Joseph Haughey. Teresa will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Bill and their six children Bill Austin (Donna), Peter Austin (Debbie), Marie Seeney (Norm), Teri Keys (Sean), Rob Austin (Amelita) and Cathy Hoey (Jeff). Teresa will also be lovingly remembered by her nineteen grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren, Ian (Cheryl), Jason (Alyssa), Jennifer (Trevor), Justin (Fernanda), Chris (Caitlin), Janice (Craig), Bradley (Ashley), Brian (Lisa), Mark, Danielle (Will), Matthew (Hangjue), Michael (Katy), Laura (Julian), Melissa (Tim), Mandy (Enri), Alysha (Pat), Josh, Derek, Steven, Zachary, Hailey, Evan and Trevor. Always loved and remembered by her brother Vince and sister-in-law Gillian, brother-in-law Gerry and sisters-in-law Dorothy and Vera. Teresa was predeceased by her brothers Joseph and George and sister-in-law Ruth. Teresa volunteered for many charitable organizations throughout the years and up until recently still enjoyed her weekly afternoon bowling with a few friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa's Shrine of the Little Flower, 2559 Kingston Road, Scarborough. Balodis, Carolyn  
Carolyn BALODIS (nee TRASK) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Carolyn on June 15th at the age of 69. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband, brother, children, their spouses and her two granddaughters. Survived by her husband Peter, brother Raymond Trask, daughters Amanda Vomacka (Paul), Kiki Parsons (Davey), son David (Vanessa), granddaughters Jessica Vomacka and Scarlett Balodis as well as her favourite dogs Gypsy, Layla and Kolter. She was predeceased by her parents Archie and Noreen and her brother Ron. Carolyn was diagnosed with Scleroderma over 30 years ago and fought the many complications of the disease with toughness, strength and a positive attitude. She never complained and despite her disease, always thought that she was a very lucky person to have had the life and family she had and was very proud of her children and their accomplishments. She was an incredible wife and devoted mother who always put others ahead of herself and leaves an enormous gap in our lives. Visitation will take place at Turner & Porter, Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. Toronto, (between Islington and Kipling Aves.) on Saturday, June 25, 2016 beginning at 2 p.m. followed by a celebration of Carolyn's life at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Scleroderma Society of Ontario or the SPCA would be appreciated.
