ANNE (ANITA) MALETTE It is with great difficulty and sadness that we relate the passing of Annie (Anita) Malette, nee Zaroski. She is predeceased by Conrad Malette (husband), Andrew Zaroski (father), Martha Zaroski (mother), Walter Zaroski (brother) and Julie Linklater (sister). She leaves her daughter Michelle, son Andrew, daughter- in-law Terry, granddaughters Andrea and Julia and sister Clara Nenadov who mourn her passing. She was also aunt to nieces and nephews, Mary Lynn Zaroski Coulas, Kimberly Zaroski Kerr-Taylor, Mark Lawrence Zaroski, Peter Nenadov, Janice Nenadov, and Stephen Nenadov. Anne was born August 30, 1921 in Copper Cliff, Ontario. She became a registered nurse in 1942, a career in which she worked all her life. She was one of the first nurses to attend to the Veterans after WWII at Sunnybrook Hospital. Later in her career, she practiced at the Bell Clinic. In the late 1960s, she was the president of the North Toronto Ukrainian School. She was also the first costume manager for the Desna Dance Troupe. After breaking her hip a second time in the span of a year, Anne passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Toronto on September 24, 2013. Thank you to the staff at New Horizons Towers, Toronto for all the care that you gave to Anne. Visitation - October 6, 2013 between 2 and 5 p.m. Funeral - October 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. at R.S. Kane, 6150 Yonge Street, Toronto. Donations to The Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated.
